DKNY Road Stories
Two free-spirited New Yorkers share a ride in an old jalopy and hit the open road, headed to California.
Along the way, they find love, adventure and countless reasons to wear a ton of truly hip clothes. The scenario
sets the stage for "Road Stories", the spring 2004 follow up to "New York Stories", DKNY's premiere film.
"DKYN" has always been inspired by the spirit of adventure. What better symbolizes that energy than the possibilites
presented by an open road? " says Donna Karin. "It's a big country out there and DKNY embraces every mile of it."
Directed by Steven Sebring, this 12 minute stylish romp across the country takes up where New York Stories left off.
Instead of skylines, the backdrop is always changing, from funky roadside motels to lush desert landscapes. Angela
Lindvall reprises her role as the actress, only this time she's left her boyfriend to pursue her acting career. She meets
Kate (Scarlett Chorvat), a new york magazine reporter, who is in search of a story on the singer/songwriter Waylon
Payne. Angela's brother happens to be in his band. Kate has the car and the two team up. They encounter
colorful people, including Sylvia Miles, a handsome New Yorker, JOHNNY MESSNER, and of course, Waylon
Payne, whose music, along with other artist, is heard throughout the film.
