The Rager
Even though it's been an entire week - in FOX years - since Trey stole the charity egg, Ryan refuses to
forgive him. So Trey leaves for his new apartment with tension between the Atwood brothers as the show
begins. After the credits roll, Carter asks Sandy for help with a libel suit against Newport Living. The two
gentlemen bond over surfing, as Carter flirts with Erin, a young orthopedist and Kirsten is noticeably jealous
of the double date that Sandy sets up. Meanwhile, Seth and Zach meet the Bad Science Comic Book represent-
ative. Her name - that's right, it's a her! - is Reed and she is very impresse by the duo. She is also attracted to
Zach, whcih causes extreme jealous in our selfish, immature hero, Seth. Another relationship that is taking
off involves Marissa and Trey, as she wishes to throw him a 21st birthday party. This leads to heated words
from Ryan because he wants his brother left alone. Seth, however, convinces Ryan to visit Trey on the day
of his birth and the dynamic twosome view him meeting a sordid character in an alley. Trey claims that it's
an old jail friend he was helping out. Speaking of being alone, Julie returns from Europe without Caleb and
with a plan: she confronts Lance with an unloaded gun, scaring him grealy, but creating an odd bond. The
former flames meet up at a bar later, get drunk, flirt and Lance offers to "take care" of Caleb if that is what
Julie desires. While these two are rocking out to Whitesnake, a surprise party for Trey gets out of hand.
Dozens of partyers engulf the Nichols' abode and Trey heads off to a bedroom with a certain, random,
aggressive female. He's doing a lot better than Seth, who did not reveal the gender of Reed and is now
in the proverbial doghouse of Summer as a result. Back at Chez Cohen, Kirsten warns Erin about Carter's
sensitive divorce. Is she purposely sabotaging this set up? Sandy is not around to determine this, though,
because he was summoned off to the party. The same girl that Trey entertained privately passed out and
was taken away in an ambulence. The episode ends with Trey in handcuffs because he admitted that he
gave the stricken female ecstasy and that's against the law, kids.
