Hale "How'd you find me here."
Layford " At 6 am you drove to the Bay. Then you checked in with P.D. Then you went to the firing range, then back to
your apartment and now here. Looks like your responding to the 802 although you weren't invited.
Hale figures out that she reported his car stolen to track down all of that information about him. He tells her no offense
but that he is busy here.
Layford - " You think this death has something to do with the other two?"
Hale continues to move about the room, observing everything and ask Layford to grab him a cup of coffee.
Layford- "Hale, when the Lt assigned me to you I knew it wasn't going to be easy but come on..."
Hale- "How do you feel about domestic crime?"
Layford- " I'm again't it."
Hale- "Good. I could still use that coffee."
Layford- "And I'm still your partner not your barista."
She looks over to the coffemaker, sees the time on it (5am) and the full cup beneath. Layford says to Hale so he thinks
the killer may have entered before 5 am."
Hale- "See, if you knew everything about me Layford, you know I don't drink coffee. Last thing I need is something that
keeps me awake."
Hale tells her that he is going over to the Medical examiner and that when forensics arrive she is to fill them in. Layford
